Hampton Art and Core’dinations Blog Hop

We are so excited for this week on the Hampton Art blog! We have a fantastic five days planned with our paper pals over at Core’dinations! Stampers LOVE good paper and Core’dinations has a wide array of size, texture, and colors in their product line! Take some time to visit each blog today through Friday and see the many projects and effects that you can create through stamping, embossing, and sanding on these great papers with Hampton Art stamps!

badgeHave you been enjoying the festivities with our Hampton Art designers and our talented friends at Core’dinations?  Today it’s my turn to share on this weeklong hop, and I have a card for you.

FullShotI love the canvas-like texture of Core’dinations papers, and of course how well they dry emboss and sand.  For this project, I dry embossed using a Sizzix embossing folder, sanded to achieve a gritty raised surface, heat embossed with gold embossing powder, and topped off with a variety of wet media.

CoreDetail_CKWI utilized my hot glue gun to create my organic/vascular effects.

HotGlueDetailWith the hot glue, I created a web-like frame for this beautiful butterfly, stamp a la Hampton Art.

butterflyWhat blog hop would be complete without a giveaway!? Alright, you know how this goes… Like Hampton Art on Facebook (don’t forget KI Memories) , and leave a little comment on the designer’s blog posts each day (comment registration closes Sunday, February 17th)! There will also be another prize pack up for grabs if you enter via our Rafflecopter giveaway on the Hampton Art blog! Just click on the link and follow the details!

  1. I love this card!! It should be framed! I do think that I often think of Coordinations cardstock like canvas as it has similar properties. I love what you did with the hot glue gun. Did you just use glue or was there another media you melted with it to create this effect?

  2. WOW WOW WOW – LOVE the colours and textures of your card Vivian!!!
I have never seen hot glue used this way and look forward to trying it out 🙂
