Hello, friends. If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know that we lost our sweet cat, Jujubee, last Christmas Eve, and that my husband and I were quite torn up about it. After a few months, I can now talk about her and remember her without getting choked up. But I still feel her absence, and I miss her terribly. I crafted this layout of my sweet girl that is up on the Core’dinations blog today.
I chose a photo of her when she was in her prime, during a period of my life in which I had a cozy little backyard with lots of grasshoppers for her to hunt. She really was such a coquette – flirtatious, feminine, and with the prettiest markings. So I chose pink as a major color, and played with sanding edges of the deeper colored die-cuts for a subtle, quiet, elegant result.
Hope you’ll stop by the Core blog to see a card project as well!
